Iberian establishment and Roman Villa of Darró
At the foot of the Sant Gervasi hill, where there is the Xalet del Nin, you will find the ruins of the Iberian city, a place where you can find important archaeological finds.
The archaeological site of Darró is formed by the remains of an Iberian settlement populated between the 5th and 9th centuries BC, and the Roman villa inhabited until the 4th century AD. It is located on the west side of the current Vilanova i la Geltrú Promenade, on both sides of the railway, and includes the Sant Gervasi hill, which extends south of the excavated site.
