Centre d'Interpretació del funicular de Gelida

The Funicular Interpretation Center presents the history and evolution of the cable car, as well as the most relevant chronological events since it opened in 1924.

Visitors will be able to discover the origin of the cable car, the details of its foundation, the service it offered during the first years and the impact on improving the mobility of Gelida residents.

Visitors will also find a selection of characteristic objects of the line, viewing historical video images and sitting on the original banks of the cable car.

At the same time, it is a Tourist Information Point, where you can find information about Gelida and the Penedès area, such as accommodation, restaurant and wine tourism services available for our visitors.
