Castell dels Marquesos d'Alfarràs
The castle of Cubelles is documented in 1041. It was built on the remains of an ancient Roman villa. From the 11th century there were several reforms, the main one being built between 1674 and 1676. This reform remodeled the original fortification thoroughly, expanding it and turning it into a civil palace with a rectangular floor plan and three floors.
On the ground floor partially restored, the Municipal Tourism Office is installed and an exhibition of the legacy of the Catalan clown Josep Andreu i Lasserre, best known as Charlie Rivel, who was born and died in this town.
It was acquired by the City Council in 1989 and since then it has been undergoing restoration.
